Fiji’s own airline started as an inter-island mail service over 50 years ago and has grown into the premier carrier among island based airlines.

Today Air Pacific has direct flights to Auckland, Christchurch, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Narita (Japan) and the South Pacific islands of Vanuatu, Tonga, The Solomon Islands and Samoa. With a modern, young fleet of Boeing 747s, 767s and 737s crewed by native islanders, your vacation experience starts the moment you board the plane.

1 - Routes and Flying Time

Los Angeles – Nadi
Air Pacific has 5 flights per week between Los Angeles and Fiji. A sixth flight is usually added based on peak summer season.
LAX – NAN: 10 hrs. 30 mins.

Vancouver - Nadi
Air Pacific has 2 flights per week between Vancouver and Fiji via Honolulu.
YVR – NAN: 12 hrs.

Honolulu – Nadi
Air Pacific has 3 flights per week between Honolulu and Nadi.
HNL – NAN: 6 hrs. 30 mins.

Nadi – Sydney, Australia
Air Pacific has 6 flights per week between Nadi and Sydney with seasonally adjusted service.
NAN – SYD: 4 hrs. 20 mins.

Nadi – Auckland, New Zealand
Air Pacific has 4 flights per week between Nadi and Auckland with seasonally adjusted service.
NAN – AKL: 3 hrs.

Additionally, from its base in Nadi, Air Pacific flies to Japan and other Pacific Islands including Vanuatu, Tonga, the Solomon Islands and Western Samoa.

2 - Inflight Service

Pacific Voyager Class
Economy class service has been designated to give the Air Pacific customer a sense of relaxation they moment they step on board. The naturally friendly cabin crew and elegantly, yet relaxed cabin décor guests can sit back and enjoy the hospitality of one of the world’s most welcoming cultures.

Air Pacific provides a great range of entertainment options to choose from onboard its international services. From the classics to the comics, customers can enjoy the broad range of block-buster movies and TV programs. On the 747 aircraft, passengers can also challenge themselves with a selection of interactive games available.

Air Pacific appreciates the joy of music so they have put together a choice of 8 audio channels ranging from top 40 hits to classical pieces and of course a taste of Hindi Hits. They also have a dedicated channel for children.
Whether your journey with Air Pacific is a short hop within the Pacific region or a longer flight across the Pacific, your meal will be a sumptuous reflection of South Pacific cuisine accompanied by international wines, spirits and beers.
Air Pacific also offers a range of special meals to suit your religious, cultural or medical/dietary needs. These meals are available by prior request to Air Pacific.
Naturally with Air Pacific, entertainment, meals and drinks are free.

Tabua Class
Tabua Class is our business class, offering discerning travelers a unique and exclusive class of travel on Fiji’s international airline.

On the ground, customers who choose to fly Tabua Class can enjoy business class check-in, increased baggage allowance and access to lounge facilities at most airports.

In the air, Tabua Class customers will experience a superb menu including a three course meal, a range of fine wines, champagne, liqueurs and a selection of cheeses. It doesn’t stop there – with individual screens, there is a choice of up to 21 channels of entertainment on the Boeing 747 aircraft and up to 10 movies on our other aircraft.

If you’re after a first class experience at a business class price, then Tabua Class is for you.

3 - Special Assistance

Air Pacific provides special in-flight needs for passengers requiring special assistance as listed below. Air Pacific’s Medical Officer will need to be consulted prior to approval being granted for the carriage of sick and invalid passengers, including stretcher cases and expectant mothers.
It is therefore, very important that you let Air Pacific or your Travel Agent know of your condition when making reservations.

Excess Baggage
Excess baggage charges apply when a traveler's checked-in baggage exceeds the free allowance either by weight or by the number of pieces permitted. Please contact your nearest Air Pacific office to find out the applicable excess baggage fees for your journey.

Bulky Items
Air Pacific charges a small fee for bulky items such as surf boards and golf clubs. This fee is in addition to any excess baggage fees that may apply.

5 - Frequent Flyer Program

Air Pacific is a partner in the Frequent Flyer programs of American Airlines' AAdvantage and Qantas. Just ensure you provide your Frequent Flyer number to reservation before your depart. Also be sure to keep all your boarding passes as this is your "proof of travel" and the only way to track your mileage.

Whether you are departing from Los Angeles, Honolulu or Vancouver to the Fiji Islands you will be earning some great mileage credits!

Members of Qantas Frequent Flyers and AAdvantage earn points each time they fly Air Pacific. Accumulated points are also redeemable on Air Pacific prime flights (operated by Air Pacific). However, all program administration, including earning and using points, is maintained by Qantas and American Airlines.

6 - Airport Lounges

Tabua Club

When you need to avoid long queues, keep in touch with work, relax somewhere quiet, rush off to meetings the minute you land...Air Pacific knows just what you need.

The Tabua Club offers you check-in at the Business Class counter even if you're traveling in Economy. The airline will priority tag your bags to arrive with the first bags at the other end and let you use our lounges to catch your breath, catch up with work or continue your meeting with colleagues.

And you get 10kgs (22 lbs.) of excess luggage.

Tabua Club Membership Benefits include:

Tabua Club membership allows you to check in at the Tabua Class counter, even though you may be traveling in Pacific Voyager (Economy).

Enjoy the use of our Tabua Lounges in Nadi and shared lounges in selected airports like Sydney, Auckland, Apia, Tonga, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Vancouver and Narita whenever you travel Air Pacific.

As a member, you are entitled to an extra 10kgs. of luggage.

7 - Fleet

Passengers will enjoy the comfort of the modern fleet of Boeing 747, 767 and 737 aircraft, with an average age of only seven years. From North America, Air Pacific flies 747-400s on the LA-Nadi route and 737-800s on the Vancouver-Nadi route.

Introduced: April 2003, June 2003

Configuration: 28 Business Class/430 Economy Class

Business: Located in A-Zone (nose) 57" pitch, 12" recline, in-seat video with 22 video channels and 12 audio channels.

Economy: Located on Main Deck and Upper Deck. 32" pitch, 6" recline, seat back video with 12 video channels and 12 audio channels.

Boeing 767-300 ER

Introduced: September 1994

Configuration: 18 Business Class/238 Economy Class

Business Class: 50" pitch, 10" recline. Personal Video Walkmans with selection of 10 videos, 10 audio channels.

Economy Class: 32" pitch, 6" recline. Mainscreen video, dual language, 10 audio channels.

Boeing 737-800

Introduced: June 1999, August 1999

Configuration: 8 Business Class/142 Economy

Business Class: Seating 48" pitch, 10" recline, 19.5" seat width, in-seat video with 6 video channels and 10 audio channels.

Economy Class: Seating 32" pitch, 6" recline. Drop down screens every 3 rows, with mainscreen video and 10 audio channels.

Boeing 737-700

Introduced: September 1998

Configuration: 8 Business Class/110 Economy

Business Class: Seating - 48" pitch, 18" recline, in-seat video with 6 video channels and 10 audio channels.

Economy Class: Seating - 32" pitch, 6" recline. Drop down screens every 3 rows, with mainscreen video and 10 audio channels.

8 - Duty Free

To help you with last minute shopping as you head toward Fiji (or on your way home) an extensive range of gift is available for sale at duty free prices on the flights.

An announcement is made to advise when these are being made available during your flight and an informative brochure is located in each seat pocket.

Items available include perfumes, a small range of cosmetics, Fijian souvenir items, Air Pacific caps, T-shirts, aircraft models, sulus (also known throughout the Pacific as pareau, lavalava or sarong) and other small gift items.

Air Pacific accept travelers checks, most major currencies and a wide range of credit cards; American Express, Diners Club, JCB Card, MasterCard and Visa.

Duty Free concessions on entering Fiji are:

Alcohol: No more than 2 liters of alcoholic liquor or 4 liters of wine, or 4 liters of beer, or any combination that does not exceed the prescribed limit for any one item.

Tobacco products no more than 500 cigarettes, or any combination of tobacco product up to 500 grams net weight.

Dutiable good accompanying passengers (other than alcohol and tobacco products) not exceeding $F400 in value.
