Polynesian Airlines, the national carrier of Samoa, has seen much growth since this nation gained
independence in 1962. The airline flies from Apia, Samoa's capital, to eight
international destinations - Auckland and Wellington; Brisbane, Melbourne and
Sydney; Nadi; and Pago Pago in American Samoa. Also, Polynesian Airlines offers
Boeing 767 service out of Honolulu and Los Angeles to Apia on a code share basis
with Air New Zealand.
